Family Connections Program
Do you have a child 0-6 years of age? Family Connections is for you!
Our Family Connections program combines our CAP-C and Early Years funding into one great service for families with children aged 0-6. Our programs focus on supporting families experiencing challenges such as poverty, social isolation, substance use, and/or family violence, as well as families led by a teenage parent, children who live with developmental delays or social, emotional, or behavioural problems, and children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
We provide a relaxed, fun environment for children and families to network, gather and access resources and gain support in early childhood development, and offer programs that strengthen parenting skills, reduce isolation, and boost children’s self-esteem through child focused activities, play groups, and supported referrals.
Family Connections can offer both group and individual support. Call us to set up an appointment, or join us at our drop-in groups!
- Power Play – drop-in play and support group for children and parents.
- Twice Exceptional – drop-in play and support group for families with neurodivergent children.
- Little Artists – creative arts and crafts for young children.
All our services are free and confidential.
Family Connections operates out of the South Fort George Family Resource Center (FRC) at 1200 La Salle Ave., Prince George.
